Evidence engine v0 preview

This preview demonstrates local evidence artifact capture. It is not a submission system.

Capture

Evidence capture (local-only)

Capture what you did, what changed, what you observed, and how you explain it. This stays in your browser unless you copy/share it manually.

Selected inputs

  • Mission objective: Measure urban heat islands after sunset.
  • Payload idea: Thermal camera (low-resolution) with scheduled captures.
  • Downlink plan: Store-and-forward; downlink during 2 contact windows per day.

Generated outputs

  • Subsystem list: Power, communications, ADCS (pointing), onboard computer, structure.
  • First trade-off noticed: More images → more data → longer downlink time and higher power use.

Mission brief:
Design a beginner CubeSat mission concept by choosing a mission objective, a payload idea, and the key subsystems needed to make it work.

Selected inputs:
- Mission objective: Measure urban heat islands after sunset.
- Payload idea: Thermal camera (low-resolution) with scheduled captures.
- Downlink plan: Store-and-forward; downlink during 2 contact windows per day.

Generated outputs:
- Subsystem list: Power, communications, ADCS (pointing), onboard computer, structure.
- First trade-off noticed: More images → more data → longer downlink time and higher power use.

Checklist:
- [x] I can state a one-sentence mission objective.
- [ ] I can explain how the payload supports the objective.
- [ ] I can name at least three supporting subsystems and why they matter.
- [x] I included an honest boundary note about what this twin does not prove.

Observations:
I noticed that mission goals are not the same as payloads. The payload is a tool, but the objective is the outcome we want on Earth.

Reflection:
If we needed higher image resolution, we’d need more data capacity and probably more power. That could push us toward a larger satellite or fewer images per day.
